Pokeshaw

Leaving for the Long trip with bows, arrows and fur from his totemic animal.

The passage of the ancestors.

The force of the spirit.

Border town between Anglophones and Acadians.

Big cape.

Attached to Grand-Anse.

What’s hiding in those caves?

Pokeshaw estuary with a river.

Beach with sparks of fire close to the island.

Island like an old iron.

To rehash the memory.

Bared, deserted with the exception of some stumps which recall the passage beyond the grave, but also the telluric currents of this place which galvanizes.

Paradise for the sea birds.

From the top of the shore cliff.

I see the bark canoe with sails leaving for the Iles de la Madeleine.

I see so many sons and daughters of the land leaving.

Who will come back when all the bells will ring, when the candles and Chinese lanterns will light up, when all the rackets will chime, a place where the bay runs to the ocean in a roar of lights?
